With determination and a heart full of empathy, she moved to Ernakulam after her schooling to study nursing, stepping into a profession that would become her true purpose. Her early training in various hospitals laid the groundwork for a career built on dedication, resilience, and care.

She began her professional journey in the Gynecology Department at Manjapra Hospital, where her passion for patient care quickly earned her admiration. Even after marriage, she gracefully balanced family life and her calling, continuing her service as a Staff Nurse in the Pediatric Department and later as a Surgery Assistant at Luke Memorial Hospital. Her growing expertise and gentle presence made her a source of comfort for patients and colleagues alike.

Her dedication led her to serve in the Children’s Hospital, Manjapra, and later at the Dental Department of Divine Hospital, before returning to her hometown to continue serving her community through various healthcare institutions.

A defining chapter of her career began when she joined the Amrita Institute of Medical Sciences (AIMS). During her tenure, she worked across numerous departments — General Surgery, ENT, Dermatology, Gastroenterology Surgery, Pediatric ICU, MICU, Orthopedics, Dental College (Prosthodontics), Geriatrics, and even the COVID-19 Care Unit. Her unwavering commitment, adaptability, and compassion earned her wide recognition, especially for her exemplary service during the pandemic — a time when true caregivers emerged as beacons of hope.

It was at AIMS that she discovered her deeper calling — to serve the elderly and those in need of palliative care. Moved by the suffering she witnessed and inspired by the difference compassionate nursing could make, she envisioned a place where care would mean more than treatment — where dignity, empathy, and love would guide every touch.

This vision gave birth to Vathmeekam — a home of care, comfort, and compassion. As the Founder and Managing Director of Vathmeekam, she continues her mission to provide holistic palliative and geriatric care, ensuring every individual receives the warmth, respect, and attention they deserve.

From her modest beginnings to becoming a respected nurse and a visionary founder, her story is one of courage, compassion, and unwavering purpose — a reminder that true healing begins with the heart.
